Bajaj motorcycles has launched its new pulsar 150 C&G (cowl and graphic) in India, whereas the Yamaha has also launched its FZ v3 in India. Both The bikes gives strong competition to each other.

First we will talk about the looks of Bajaj pulsar 150 C%G. The overall look of pulsar 150 is identical to its elder sibling The Bajaj pulsar 180. It got the new graphic with different colors And also it got the engine belly as well.

Now talking about the new Yamaha FZ v3, it also got the new design which is very attractive. The headlight of the New FZ v3 is inspired from elder sibling The Yamaha FZ 25. The overall look of the bike is changed if we compare it with The Yamaha FZ v2.

Talking about the engine, then the Bajaj pulsar 150 C&G comes with 149.5 cc single cylinder, 4-Stroke, 2-Valve, Twin Spark, DTS-i Engine which produces 14.00 ps power at 8000 rpm and 13.4 Nm torque at 6000 rpm.

Whereas the Yamaha FZ v3 also comes with 149 cc single cylinder engine which produces 13bhp at 8000 rpm and 13Nm torque at 6000 rpm.

In terms of power The pulsar 150 is slightly ahead of yamaha FZ v3. But The Yamaha FZ v3 engine is very refined and less noisy as compare to The Bajaj pulsar 150 twin disk variant.

Both The bikes comes with 5-speed gearbox and the gear shifting of the Yamaha FZ v3 is much smoother then pulsar 150. Both the bikes does not have kick start function.

Mileage and top speed:

Company claimed mileage of the Bajaj pulsar 150 is 56.93 kmpl and rated top speed at 110 kmph. whereas the Yamaha FZ v3’s claimed mileage is 45kmpl and rated top speed at 105 kmph.

Fuel tank capacity of the Yamaha FZ v3 is 13 L which is smaller then the Pulsar 150 because it has 15 L fuel tank.

Brakes:

The Yamaha FZ v3 comes with 242 mm front disc and 130 mm rear disc. whereas the Bajaj pulsar 150 comes with 260 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc.

Both the bikes comes with single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) to improve the braking of the motorcycle. If you compare then Pulsar 150’s braking is better then FZ v3.

Tyres:

If we talk about the tyres then who forgot about the Yamaha FZ series tyre. The Yamaha FZ v3 comes with 17 inches tyres and their sizes are 100/80-17 in front and 140/60-17 at rear.

The Bajaj pulsar 150 C&G also comes with 17 inches tyres and their sizes are 90/90-17 in front and 120/80-17 at rear.

The overall grip of the Yamaha FZ v3 tyre is good because it has wider tyre at rear.

Electrical:

The Yamaha FZ v3 comes with fuel injection system whereas the Pulsar 150 still comes with carborator. I don’t know when will bajaj introduce the fuel injected variant of this motorcycle.

The Yamaha FZ v3 got the LED headlight and taillight, whereas the Bajaj Pulsar 150 C&G still comes with same halogen head lamp and LED taillight.

The headlight of the yamaha FZ v3 is brighter then the pulsar 150. Instrument cluster of the pulsar 150 is the same digital-analog meter which we get in Bajaj pulsar 180.

The ex-showroom price of the Yamaha FZ v3 is Rs 95000/– and the price of Bajaj pulsar 150 twin disc is Rs 87,226/– (ex showroom)

CONCLUSION:

It is totally depend upon person to person choice, but if you ask me which should i buy then first you need to look at what are your requirements. If you want new look with updated technology the you should go for The Yamaha FZ v3.

And if your budget is strict and you still want a 150 cc bike with ABS the you should go for the Bajaj pulsar 150 twin disc because it is cheaper then the Yamaha FZ v3.
