Yamaha R15 S V3 launched in India at Rs 1.58 lakh | cheaper than the base variant of R15 V4

Yamaha R15 S V3 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 1,57,600 (Ex-showroom) which is Rs 13,200 cheaper than the base variant of the recently launched R15 V4.


The Yamaha R15 S V3 will be only available in a racing blue color scheme. As we know that the R15 V4 and R15 M were launched in September 2021, that’s why Yamaha had ceased the production of V3, But, it turns out that the V3 will be available in the ‘S’ configuration with a single-piece seat.

According to Motofumi Shitara, the chairman of Yamaha Motor India group, the reason for launching the R15S V3 was that the brand found its customers looking for an R15 with a more comfortable pillion seat.

Talking about the things which are new in the R15S V3, everything remain the same except the seat, It gets the single seat instead of the split seat which we get in the regular R15 V3.

However, the racing blue paint scheme does not comes with the blue wheels. and it features the same equipment too.

Talking about the specification, the Yamaha R15 S V3 comes with 155 CC liquid cooled BS6 engine which produces the max power of 18.6 PS at 10000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.1 Nm at 8500 rpm. Engine is mated to 6 speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

In addition, the bike has twin LED headlamps, LCD instrument display, aluminium swingarm, side stand engine cut-off and dual channel ABS.

The Yamaha YZF R15 V3 S comes with 11 liter of fuel tank and it’s approximate mileage is around 40 kmpl.
